The site says visitors can taste the winery's own wines and fruit wines, including the red 'Sanbe' made from the local Fuji-no-Yume variety, and can watch the winemaking process through glass in season. Whether tasting is free or paid is not stated. The shop sells the winery's wines plus Shimane produce and souvenirs, with an eat-in space for sweets, soft serve and drinks. A winery at the foot of Mt. Sanbe in Oda, Shimane. Iwami Winery Co., Ltd. was founded in October 2015, obtained its fruit-wine licence in June 2017 and opened its production and sales building in April 2018. The adjoining 4.7-hectare vineyard sits in the Sanbe caldera on water-retentive volcanic 'kuroboku' soil, planted mainly with Fuji-no-Yume (a Merlot x wild-grape cross), Merlot, Hokuten-no-Shizuku (a Riesling cross), Chardonnay and Marselan, aiming for up to 27 tonnes at full production with minimal pesticide use. The company also runs the Iwami Winery Hotel Misato.
