Koresato Winery

The winery sits inside the Forest Park Doitsu-no-Mori agricultural park and follows the park calendar; entry to the winery and shop is free but the park entrance fee applies. On bottling days visitors can go up to the second floor from the shop and watch bottling and labelling through glass; otherwise the second floor is off limits. Paid tastings are offered on the first floor of the shop on weekdays only, and glasses of wine are sold for 500 yen at weekends. The wines poured change daily.
The winery began in 1985 when grape growers in the Koresato district of Akaiwa, Okayama, started making local wine. In 1995 the cellar moved into the Doitsu-no-Mori agricultural park. It owns no vineyards, instead vinifying grapes from contracted local growers.
