A fragrant grape descended from Muscat of Alexandria and Koshu Sanjaku, sometimes used for aromatic white wine as well as table fruit.

Neo Muscat is a yellow-green table grape bred from Muscat of Alexandria and Koshu Sanjaku. The Osaka Prefectural Government lists it as the cross between those two varieties. It is known for an elegant Muscat perfume and pronounced sweetness, and was once widely grown under glass. Today it is chiefly a table grape, although some Japanese producers vinify it as a white wine to preserve its floral, grapey aroma. The wines tend to be soft in acidity and led by fragrance.
