Founded in 1918, Kasai Winery (Nomien) is a small hand-crafted winery in Anayama-cho, Nirasaki City. It uses grapes harvested in the Kyohoku area at the foot of the Yatsugatake mountains for its Mont.8 series of two reds and two whites. A pit dwelling built by local junior high school students stands on the grounds, and spring cherry blossom season is a good time to visit.
