Grape-picking runs roughly 8 August to 12 October, with check-in at the shop: twice a day on weekdays (11:00, 15:00) and five times on weekends and holidays, 20 people per slot, 1,000 yen each (800 yen for groups of four or more). Booking opens ten days before, by phone, e-mail or online. A reservation-only VIP picking tour (from 16:30, about an hour, 4,800 yen, including a tasting plate and grape juice or wine) is also offered, and a formal inspection/training plan for businesses is listed on the SHISALY booking site. The official site does not describe a standalone wine tasting menu.

Toyama's oldest vineyard, started in 1927 when fruit trees were planted on a hilltop in Fuchu-machi, Toyama City. It obtained a wine licence and began making wine in 1933, opened as a pick-your-own vineyard in 1955, and incorporated its wine division as Horaisan Winery Co., Ltd. in 1975; Tomoko Yamafuji is the fourth-generation head. About 40 wine and table grape varieties are grown on 6 ha of estate vineyard, and annual wine production is about 35 kL (some 50,000 bottles).
