carraria / Trust & Associates Inc.
カラリア（トラストアンドアソシエイツ株式会社）
The winery runs carraria house, a farm guesthouse in a converted 70-year-old farmhouse (1F 4,400 yen, 2F 3,900 yen per person, room only, before tax, for two or more people per room). Its paid membership scheme, carraria associates, offers vineyard work and cultural events to members. There is no arrangement for cellar tours or tastings; the wine is made under contract elsewhere.
Carraria is a vineyard and wine brand in Fujisawa, Tateshina, Nagano Prefecture, operated by Trust & Associates Inc. Representative Daisuke Nakamura left his office job in Tokyo, studied at the Chikumagawa Wine Academy, and took over a field tested by the Tateshina Agricultural Promotion Corporation since 2013. The approximately 0.7-hectare vineyard sits at an elevation of 680 meters and grows Chardonnay, Albarino, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc without chemical fertilizers, insecticides, or herbicides. Wines are made under contract at ArcanVigne, Tateshinapple Winery, and Twizilab, and the first vintage, made entirely from Tateshina Chardonnay, was released in autumn 2017.
