Grace Wine (Chuo Budoshu)
中央葡萄酒（グレイスワイン）
The wines of Chuo Budoshu, founded in Katsunuma in 1923 by Chotaro Misawa. It began trial trellis-training of Koshu in 1992 and moved to it in earnest in 2009, and in 2002 opened its own 8.6-hectare Misawa Vineyard at Akeno. The winery states that at the 2014 Decanter World Wine Awards its Cuvee Misawa Akeno Koshu 2013 became the first Japanese wine to take a Gold medal and a Regional Trophy, and that in 2016 Grace Extra Brut was the first sparkling wine in Asia to take a Platinum and Best in Asia award.
