The official site says wine tourism is "in planning"; there is no standing tour or tasting information. For 2026 it announces a Harvest Tour on Aug 29 and Sep 5 (grape picking, vineyard walk, winery visit, house-made grape juice souvenir; 1,500 yen, 30 people per day) and a "2026 Nouveau Festival" in late November (3,000 yen).
A domaine winery on the east shore of Lake Biwa in Omihachiman, making the "Ohminory" label from its own vineyards. Kiyotaka Misaki, representative and head winemaker, began growing table grapes locally in 2011 and founded Sorairo Winery LLC in September 2023 with friends from agricultural college, handling everything from growing to bottling and shipping. Former rice paddies were converted to vineyards with subsurface drainage and soil improvement; winemaking started with the 2025 vintage. The range is Ohminory Chardonnay (100% Chardonnay), Ohminory Rouge (70% Sangiovese, 30% Syrah) and the "wee-wee-wee" grape juices.
