If you are driving, please do not taste. Japan has a zero-tolerance drink-driving law.
The underground cellar can be visited free of charge (speak to a staff member on entering). There is no free tasting corner because the shop is small; tasting is by paid glass only. Open 9:30-16:30, year-round except 31 December to 4 January.
Founded in 1916 in Seba, Shiojiri City, Nagano. It makes wines from varieties including Niagara, Concord, Merlot, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, and has an underground cellar.
