What this site does not publish

Explainer / Published 2026-08-27

A database’s reliability is shaped not only by what it publishes, but also by what it leaves out. This site does not collect every piece of information that might be found. It accumulates decisions not to fill a field for appearance when its source, rights, or ability to stay current cannot be confirmed.

There is a reason not to publish This site does not publish editorial scores, stars, or its own rankings. Awards announced by a competition can be recorded with who evaluated what and with a source, but creating an editorial scale of superiority is different. We also do not reproduce review-site text or ratings because their terms and rights conditions must be respected, and someone else’s experience cannot be replaced with a verified fact here. We do not present an editorial impression as an award: competition results remain the organizers’ results, and visit information remains the relevant facility’s guidance.

Protect blanks and rights The table shows which fields are filled and which are not. When an item cannot be confirmed, we leave it blank. Guessing would make the screen look complete but would lose whose statement it was and when it was true.

**This table exists to show what is not confirmed.** The policy is that an empty field is better than a guess. Photographs are zero because none have been cleared for use yet.

Google Maps can display a location, but its content is not saved as this database. We verify the source of an address and let Google draw the map. We do not use award-medal images: organizer logos and images have conditions of use, and an image is not needed to verify an award. We also do not yet have photographs with confirmed rights, so we do not fill the gap with images from search results or other sites.

These exclusions are not meant to hide information; they keep sources and rights from being mixed. Instead of filling in what readers might want to see, we preserve only confirmed facts and mark unverified fields as such. That also makes the path for later correction or updating clearer.

What publication means here Our reading: When decisions not to publish accumulate, what is published carries more meaning. An award can be read as a third-party record, an address with its source, and a blank as an unverified state. Many blanks are a weakness, but making unfilled places visible has value in itself.

If a producer sends a correction or new evidence, we can update the confirmation date and add what can be verified. By not hiding why something is absent, we can share what should be checked next. A blank is not an endpoint; it is a place that can be updated when supporting evidence arrives. An omitted item also records that it could not be confirmed. Keeping that boundary visible helps readers use the site without mistaking an absence for a fact.
