Phone 0238-43-2578. Factory tours require reservation at least 3 days ahead. Grape picking runs August to mid-October at 700 yen for adults and primary schoolchildren, 350 yen for preschoolers. A winemaking experience (4,000 yen per person, one 720ml bottle to take home) runs mid-August to early October. Parking for 30 cars.
A family-run winery in Akayu, Nanyo City, Yamagata, with its own Shikinen vineyard. Nanyo is said to be the birthplace of grape growing in Yamagata, and the farm grows Delaware among other varieties. Grape picking and winemaking experiences are offered from summer through autumn.
