TOYOSHIMA FARM
The official site states that neither the vineyard nor the winery accepts visits. It opens only on a roughly monthly "winery open day", announced on the blog.
A small winery growing wine grapes in Yashima, Yurihonjo, Akita, at the foot of Mount Chokai. Vines were planted in 2016 and a fruit-liquor production licence was obtained in 2024, making it the seventh winery in the prefecture. It is a micro-winery under the fruit-liquor special zone scheme, housed in a converted former farm-supply centre rented next to the A-Coop Yashima store, farming 2 ha trained on Hokkaido-style vertical trellises that withstand heavy snow. The aim is easy-drinking wine with the crisp acidity and fresh fruit of a cool region.
